Here is our latest video Anatomy of a Window Installation, watch how we replaced a customer's picture window and flanking double hungs with a five section casement window.
As seen in this video, double hung windows can only provide ventilation by sliding top and bottom sashes, at maximum only half of the window opening can allow airflow. By replacing double hung windows with casements you can double the airflow, because casements swing out away from the frame allowing ventilation through the whole opening, top to bottom.
